My Story

Dear Kurt,

I miss you so much and think about you every day. I talk to you sometimes in my mind and sometimes out loud. I know in some way you hear me. I remember meeting you when I was in high school, and looking up to you for serving our country.

You treated me like a little sister, even giving me money for my birthday! I have so many wonderful memories of good times, concerts, vacations, talks and laughter. You had a unique sense of humor and always made me laugh ! We had some differences over the years, but always came around knowing family was more important, and forgave each other.

Thank you for taking care of my sister and being a generous provider. You and Sue were lucky to have each other, and complimented each other like a Yin and Yang. Thank you for being an amazing father to Lauren and Garrett. You pushed them and taught them so many life lessons that turned them into the beautiful adults they have become.

I am so proud to call them my niece and nephew. Thank you for taking so many vacations and trips with your family so they have a lifetime of memories to hold onto. Kurt, I love you forever. If you have any control over the energies of this earth, please give Sue, Lauren and Garrett the Strength to live in the moment, the Courage to embrace the future , and the insight to Believe one day this will make some sense.

Until we meet again brother,

Melanie
