I have
Received a Giving Key
With the word
STRENGTH
My Story
My precious, selfless, brilliant, loving, witty, etc. daughter succumbed to a two-year battle with invasive mammary carcinoma on October 24 of this year (2021) @ age 36.
Yes, this was an extreme to All family members as well as her Many friends & Work family. She was Very healthy before, enjoying family (including) her & her fiancé’s 4 cute dogs. For Mother’s Day she sent me a key necklace with STRENGTH engraved on it.
She asked me if I would wear it, as she wore “her own key necklace” during her chemo, etc. treatments. Of course I said I would (because arthritic finger deformation, when I couldn’t clasp it around my neck, I always had it with me, day & night.
Of course I am still majorly grieving; yet her & will Always have her in my thoughts & prayers. I cry frequently/& also smile frequently as I think of all the creative ways she & her sister (now 38) made me smile & laugh all the time. Her Sister (& my grandchildren are having aVery difficult time as well.
So, as much as I need strength to carry on, I believe they really need it a tad more than me right now. Tomorrow I will be mailing it to them (Salt Lake City, Utah) area. So the key was ordered by my youngest daughter in Phoenix, AZ, sent to me in the NY tundra Most northern US/Canadian border town, now heading to Utah. I still have my “baby” in a cross around my neck.
I am sure they will appreciate the gift & memories, etc. I applaud your efforts…& yes, She was always contributing…Never asking for anything in return. I love & miss her so much & will forever be with me in all I do. Trust me, I am sure I, will be visiting this sight again soon. Thank you
