Courage Came From The Lord

I purchased a key here for myself that read courage. I desperately needed to grow in courage and it helped serve as a daily reminder that courage came from the Lord and He is faithful to grow that in me. I had my key for about a year when I went to Gateway's Pink Impact women's conference in Fort Worth, Tx. I was sitting mostly with a large group of women from my home church, but also next to a few women who had come together from out of state to attend. During one of the worship times, the Lord revealed to me all the ways He had grown me in the area of courage and then brought this sweet lady next to me to my mind and said that she needed my key as a sign from Him that He was with her through her battles and would do the same for her.

So with tears of joy in my eyes, I tapped her shoulder and discreetly placed the key in her hand and whispered in her ear, "The Lord told me this gift is yours now". She thanked me and placed it around her neck without looking and we continued in worship. At the break, I gathered my things to exit the row to head to the bathrooms when I saw her reach down and look at the word engraved on the key. As I walked passed, she began to cry as she showed her friends the sweet gift the Father had used me to give to her.

Later in the conference, she stood up when the call came for anyone battling health issues that had a bad diagnosis/outcome given by the doctors. I don't know what she was diagnosed with or how bad it was... but I know that day she gained the strength to fight the battle knowing that our God was right beside her and would not fail her.
