I have
Gifted a Giving Key
With the word
COURAGE
My Story
I received a giving key necklace from a family member being asked to stand by their side on their day of wedding bliss. The key of courage was chosen for me as a reflection of who I am. Many road blocks have came into my life and with courage at the core, my Nebraska born "True Grit" rose above.
When wearing the necklace I received compliments every time, and the energy provided me with even more courage to forge ahead. This past summer I had the opptunity to present my story as a parent raising a child with multiple disabilities, more particular Cortical Visual Impairment, a brain based visual processing disorder.
It was here at the presentation wearing the necklace I knew it was time to "give" my key away to me soon to be married, now is childhood best friend. Niesha has been by my side truly ever since she was born. No matter the miles between us, the courage we have for each others friendship has always shown.
As we have grown into adulthood courage continues to live in our hearts, souls, and minds. Now she is an RN providing care to those in immediate need. I know the key of courage will get her through the fullest of days.
