I have
Received a Giving Key
With the word
STRENGTH
My Story
My son, Jacob Leicht, lost his life on April 6, 2018 in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash in SK. 16 passengers lost their lives, 13 survived. The love, prayers, support and generosity shown to our families were tremendous. Upon my return back to teaching in the fall of 2018, our staff were each invited to write a word saying what we ‘hoped‘ for on a bulletin board in the hallway, as our community suffered tremendously from the trauma and loss.
I hoped for “strength”. Later that day at home, I opened a parcel of treasures sent to our family in the mail. In the package was a Giving Key necklace with the word “strength”. Miraculously, by the grace of God, I was given the strength to gradually go back to a job I love. The necklace and timing were a little sign from Him, as He worked through others to get His message across to me.
I wore the necklace often. The following year, a family who struggled, was moving away. I taught one of the boys, so gave him my “strength” key and sent him off with a prayer. That’s all I could do at that point, but am grateful that I could. Thank you for giving me strength.
