I bought the Trust and Faith key for one of the best friends I've ever had. She is one of the most amazing, selfless people I know. She understands me in a way few people do. During the hardest time of my life, at my lowest point, she stood by me, loved and respected me unconditionally, when I didn't deserve it , and I can't thank her enough for that.
There's never a day that goes by that she doesn't put somebody before herself. I have learned so much from her and I am a better man for having the chance to know her. Her character inspires me and has helped forever change me.
The keys are a birthday gift. She had already told me she didn't want anything for her birthday to keep me from spending money. She has a hard time receiving gifts from others because she always wants to be the giver.
Being the selfless person she is, she expressed that instead of getting gifts this year, she would rather give "35 acts of kindness," for her 35th.
We are still friends, and although there is a lot of confusion in our relationship, it's better that way right now. The Trust and Faith key is to remind her that regardless of what happens with us, to never give up on God, to Trust Him fully in every aspect of her life, and to have Faith that as long as He is first, things will work out for the good.
I went against her will by getting her a gift, but the keys are a perfect reminder of what is most important, and could possibly be 2 of the 35 acts of kindness she performs, should she find someone that needs them more than her.
