Comfort Through Loss
In the month of July the toughest thing that could have ever happened to me. I lost my grandmother due to illness on 7/2/15. She had had a stroke and never fully recovered. I hadn't had the chance to spend much time with her due to working the Chi-Raq production in the previous month. Right when my grandma passed my mom became sick. She got weaker and weaker and by the time we had my grandmother services she had loss so much weight she couldn't fit any of her clothes. We made her go to the hospital and we found out she had cancer. We never knew because my Mom was always healthy and always moving. If she had any pains or symptoms she his them well. I ended up losing my Mom on 7/23/15. Saddest day of my life. A dear friend of mine named Christina Arrigo gave me her necklace and told me about the Giving Keys. She had lost her husband earlier this year and felt like I needed the necklace more then she did. I appreciated it because it gave me great comfort. I now pass the necklace onto my friend Jeanette. She has lost her dad and I hope it helps her as much as it helped me.
