This summer, my brother and his wife were expecting a baby. He was well timed because the baby was due at the same time as their own birthdays in July. One big birthday celebration week.
The day her son was born was joyous and happy, but she was having complications from the c-section and having had developed preeclampsia. While she was being treated, she had a stroke. An MRI revealed that she had a bleed on her brain that they couldn't stop. She passed away 2 days after birth.
Her identical twin sister was there and always was there with her sister. Through her grief, Steph has just had overwhelming moments that she doesn't feel like she can go on. Without hesitation I gave her my COURAGE key. There is no way to know why this happened to her sister, but with a reminder to keep going, we will make it through together.
