"Difficult," would be an understatement for these past few months. My dear friend had given me the BREATHE key in July. Breathe is my mantra. My friend bought me this key because my son had been going through many surgeries and was leaving to go off to college in another state. However, one phone call changed the meaning of breathe.
One of my dearest friends was being rushed to the ER in Arizona due to a brain tumor they had just found. Her husband had committed suicide just 10 days earlier. The thought of her 3 boys possibly losing both parents in 2 weeks tore me to pieces. In the end, my friend survived and is now doing great!
As I wore my breathe key every day for months, I began to realize I was gaining strength and began looking around to see who was in need of what helped me get through each day. It was then on Facebook where I read about a dance choreographer my daughter had worked with, who now was faced with a huge uphill battle as doctors had found a huge tumor in her brain. She said she would have to breathe and be strong. At that moment I knew she was going to need my breathe key! Today I am sending it in the mail from Colorado to California to an amazing and strong woman with an incredible spirit! I have never met her, but I am amazed by her strength and courage every day. I pray that this necklace will give her as much strength as it has brought to me.
